About the award

One Cambridge Schröder Scholarship in German Studies is awarded directly every three years, in conjunction with the Cambridge Trust, to be next awarded to a student starting their graduate studies in the 2019/20 academic year. Only one scholar can be in residence at any one time. The award is made to an outstanding first year PhD applicant in German Studies or comparative/cross-disciplinary topics who has chosen Jesus College as their first preference on their University application. The scholarship recipient is selected by the Department of German and Dutch, the Cambridge Trust and Jesus College. The scholarship is awarded as £10,000 per academic year for 3 years maximum (overseas applicants), or 50% of total fees including stipend for Home/EU students.
