About
The Professor Jane Clarke PhD Studentship will provide up to £10,000 per year for three years for one woman pursuing a PhD in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics field in which women are underrepresented. The College will make every effort to secure additional funding through partnerships with other University institutions to support the studentship recipient, although this cannot be guaranteed.
This studentship, named in Professor Clarke’s honour, has been funded by donors from the Wolfson community who wish to encourage applications from exceptional women and address underrepresentation of women in some STEM fields. As a leading voice in the Cambridge science community over decades, Professor Clarke has been an inspiration to generations of aspiring scientists. Her Presidency at Wolfson, and dedication to scientific thinking applied to all areas of life, has cemented the College’s reputation as a destination for top science candidates from around the world.
