About
The Scholarship for Women Entrepreneurs from Emerging Economies will provide at least £25,000 for one student pursuing a Masters'-level course. While not guaranteed, the College has in the past been able to partner with other funding bodies in order to cover the full estimated cost of the recipient's overseas fees and maintenance, increasing the full value of the award to as much as £53,000. The scholarship for Women Entrepreneurs is funded by a generous anonymous donor who wishes to support female students from overseas who (a) have resided since birth and are citizens of one of the countries that the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) has defined as developing; and (b) are pursuing a full-time Masters course that is intended to prepare them to return to their home country and develop or improve business opportunities there. The scholarship is thus intended to expand the role of women, particularly those wishing to start or develop their own business, in economies where they have been historically under-represented.
