W.M. Tapp Studentships in Law: College Studentship for LLM Students

Applications are invited for the W.M. Tapp Studentship in Law for the Master of Laws (LLM). The value of the Studentship will be determined after considering successful candidates’ income from other sources. Approved University and College fees will be paid, together with a maintenance award which satisfies the University Postgraduate Admissions Office’s conditions for entry as a postgraduate student. An additional college scholarship of £500 per annum is paid. A contribution may also be made towards travel expenses incurred when travelling to the UK if the student's home country is overseas. An allowance may be paid for dependents, and grants are available for research expenses.

Tenure of a W.M. Tapp Studentship in Law is conditional upon the successful applicant(s) being accepted by the University Postgraduate Admissions Office. Candidates must be graduates in Law of any university in the United Kingdom or elsewhere or be about to graduate not later than 1 September of the year they commence studying at Cambridge. They will be expected to be of outstanding academic ability and first consideration will be given to candidates who nominate Gonville & Caius College as their first preference college in their application, or are willing to transfer to Caius.

An application form is available from the college website. Two supporting references are also required. These should be Tapp-specific and indicate your academic fitness and suitability to undertake your proposed course or research. Completed application forms, transcript(s) and references should be submitted no later than, and by 23:59 (UK time) January 5, before starting the following October.
