About

Trinity Hall offers a limited number of fully-funded (covering University Composition Fee and student maintenance) or partially-funded Postgraduate Studentships each year. These are normally awarded to students undertaking courses with a substantial research component.

Applicants must have applied to their course at Cambridge by the course funding deadline, and the College must have received their application by the 15 March 2027 to be automatically considered for funding.

Course length

The College may offer either fully-funded (covering University Composition Fee and student maintenance) or partially-funded studentships. The duration of the award is dependant on the type of degree. PhD studentships are for 3.5 years and Master's awards are for 3 terms.

Academic merit

Students will be required to submit an annual report on their postgraduate studies, which will be shared with the donor to demonstrate how their donation has been used.  Extracts from their report may also be used in publications to attract future funders and, on occasion, to illustrate the College’s fundraising strategy.

To be considered for this award applicants must:

  • have indicated on their postgraduate application that they wish to apply for funding, and;
  • Trinity Hall must have received their application for the 2027-28 academic year by 15 March 2027.
