About

The College offers fully-funded (covering University Composition Fee and student maintenance) or partially-funded Postgraduate Research Studentships. In order to be considered for a Trinity Hall Postgraduate Research Studentship, applicants must be applying for a course that is research based (entirely research, predominantly research or equal taught/research). There are no limitations on the subject area.

The College offers this award either fully-funded (covering University Composition Fee and student maintenance) or partially-funded. The duration of the award is dependant on the type of degree. PhD studentships are for 9 terms and Master's awards are for 3 terms.

Academic merit

Students will be required to submit an annual report on their postgraduate studies, which will be shared with the donor to demonstrate how their donation has been used.  Extracts from their report may also be used in publications to attract future funders and, on occasion, to illustrate the College’s fundraising strategy.

  • have indicated on their postgraduate application that they wish to apply for Cambridge Scholarships
  • have been offered membership at Trinity Hall for the 2024-25 academic year by 11 March 2024 to be considered in the first round of awards. Applications received after this date may be considered if funding is still available.
