About

The Tom Howat PhD Studentship in Mathematics will support an outstanding candidate undertaking PhD research in the field of Mathematics. The studentship is funded by a generous donation made by Dr T J Howat (Trinity College Matric. 1999). 

Eligible applicants must have applied for admission, or already received an offer of admission, to the University of Cambridge for the PhD in Mathematics. Home or Overseas graduates of any university may apply.

Successful applicants will receive a Research Emolument of £500 per annum for three years.

Also covers the cost of a return ticket from the country of origin to the United Kingdom.
