Successful applicants for scholarships will have outstanding conservation leadership potential, but be unable to fund their studies from other sources. Particular priority for scholarships will be given to those from countries rich in biodiversity but poor in financial resources.

Offers of scholarships will be made competitively based on academic quality, professional experience and conservation leadership potential. Priority will be given to applicants from countries rich in biodiversity but poor in financial resources, and who are not able to fund their studies from other sources.

Course

Applicant must be coming from a country in the global south and unable to fund studies from other sources. The awards are on the basis of both merit and financial need. Scholarship cannot be awarded until the English Language requirement is met.

Application Process

Once a formal application for a place on the course has been made via the Graduate Admissions Office, scholarship applicants should write and submit a financial case of a maximum 200 words to admin.conservationleadership@geog.cam.ac.uk explaining the funds that they have available, and any further funds required to take up a place on the course. The deadline for submitting the financial case is the same as the course application deadline.
