Applicants must be admitted to the University of Cambridge to undertake research in Philosophy of Science or the History of Scientific Ideas either for the PhD degree or the MPhil Degree.
A successful PhD candidate may hold the studentship for up to three and a half years, subject to satisfactory progress. At the time of taking up the Studentship a successful candidate will normally be expected to have completed the one-year course of study for the MPhil Degree at the University of Cambridge or a similar course elsewhere.
A successful candidate to a Cambridge MPhil degree related to the Philosophy of Science or the History of Scientific Ideas will hold the studentship for the duration of the MPhil course for which it is awarded.
