This award is for South African nationals intending to read for a PhD. We automatically consider all applicants meeting the eligibility criteria if they have been offered a conditional place by St John's by 1 March and have nominated St John's as their first preference college. There is no separate form of application for this Scholarship. Should we require additional information, we will contact applicants directly.
Recipient required to submit termly report for donor. Cambridge Supervisor required to submit annual report for donor. Continuation of funding subject to satisfactory academic progress.
Applicants must have listed St John's as their first preference college on the University of Cambridge application form and been offered a conditional place by St John's by 1 March.
Please note that the University's Postgraduate Admissions Office, St John’s College and the Bradlow Foundation do not provide a separate form of application for the Competition. Applicants should not apply direct to the Foundation. St John’s College will (after 1 March 2027) forward the papers of suitable applicants to the Foundation. The Bradlow Foundation will then contact applicants direct if they require any additional information.
