About

Applicants to taught MPhil courses based in the School of Biological Sciences, who have received a conditional offer of admission to start in October 2026, are eligible to apply for an SBS Master’s Bursary Award in support of their studies here at Cambridge. These awards are aimed at applicants from low-income households with experience of educational disadvantage who will be charged University fees at the Home or UK rate.

Please note this award is not available to applicants for research MPhil courses.

The terms of the award include that recipients must acknowledge the funder’s support in any publications, presentations, posters and other research outputs and also complete a brief report on their progress and future plans.   1. MPhil in Basic Translational Neuroscience
  2. MPhil in Biological Sciences by Advanced Study (Biomolecular Science or Cell Science or Crop Science or Developmental Biology or Infection Biology & Molecular Immunology or Reproduction & Embryogenesis)
