About

The Trustees of the Kurt Hahn Trust invite applications for Kurt Hahn Scholarships for the academical year 2025-26. The Scholarships are intended to assist students of German nationality to pursue postgraduate studies at the University of Cambridge. Scholars will be required to become candidates for a Cambridge degree. They should be based in Cambridge for the majority of the academical year.

Academic merit will not be the sole consideration: evidence of more than usual enterprise, breadth of interest, and social awareness will also be considered.

Award holders will normally be invited to social events with other Kurt Hahn Trust scholars, Trustees and members of the Committee of Management in Michaelmas and Easter Terms.

Recipients are asked to provide a brief report for the Kurt Hahn Trust Committee of Management and Trustees by 30th September in the academic year of the award.

Applications for the Kurt Hahn Trust Award will open on 1st January, with the application form available from the link below from 1st November.

As part of the application, you will need to give the title of your proposed research project. If you are applying for a taught masters there will be an option to submit a statement of your academic interests and aspirations in lieu of a research title.

You should also arrange for two academic referees to submit letters of support to the email address below by the closing date.

Complete applications form should be submitted in PDF format to KurtHahnTrust@admin.cam.ac.uk by 17th March.
