About
The Kanders Churchill Scholarship at Cambridge is designed to bridge the gap between science and science policy by supporting U.S students with a background in science, mathematics, or engineering to pursue a MPhil in Public Policy. Up to two awards are available each year, conditional upon funding.
Prospective Kanders Churchill Scholars must indicate their interest directly on the Cambridge application, including Churchill College as their first choice, and briefly mention it in their Statement of Interest. The deadline for applications is October 14, 2026 (23:59 GMT).
Selection is based on academic achievement in STEM and preparation for public policy. A committee of former Churchill Scholars working in science policy will make the decisions in mid-December, with applicants notified by late December.
