About

This award is for students studying a PhD in Engineering or Physical Sciences. The award is expected to be match funded. You will need to be willing to transfer to Corpus Christi to take up this award. Preference will be given to applicants who list Corpus Christi as their first College choice. This scholarship is provided through the generous support of the Worshipful Company of Girdlers.

Any additional maintenance support (up to a maximum of 9 months) will need to be applied for, and will be dependent on satisfactory progress and reports from supervisors.

Financial need (including Hardship) Academic merit

Girdlers scholars will be expected to become an engaged member of the Girdlers Scholarship community. Scholarship holders will provide regular updates on their research and other activities to the Girdlers' Company, and will, from time to time, join members of the Company for social occasions in both London and Cambridge
